Ben Toft is your Skyline Center Week 3 Player of the Week!
The Iowa freshman was impactful in a multitude of ways. He finished 8-for-17 over four games, good for a .471 average. He registered five RBI, two doubles, and four walks, finishing with an on-base percentage of .571. On the bases, Toft was a perfect 7-for-7 stealing bases and scored seven times. His best stat line was a 4-for-5 effort June 10 with four runs scored at Thrillville. He also drove in two on a bunt single in the seventh inning of a one-run game June 12 at O'Fallon, helping lead the LumberKings to the win.
Miller Tavaglione is your Hugunin Sewer & Plumbing Week 3 Pitcher of the Week!
The Allen County CC sophomore made two appearances out of the bullpen, picking up the win June 13 at O'Fallon. He threw a total of 4.1 innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run. He tossed 1.1 innings of scoreless ball at Quincy June 10, then followed it up with three innings at O'Fallon. In that outing, he surrendered one run while striking out four. He led all relievers with five strikeouts.
