LumberKings Cancel June 20 Game Due to Poor Field Conditions
CLINTON, Iowa – The Clinton LumberKings have announced that tonight's scheduled game at NelsonCorp Field has been canceled due to poor field conditions following recent weather. The decision was made in the best interest of player safety and to ensure the best possible experience for our fans.
"Our top priority is always the safety and well-being of our athletes," said Nate Vander Bleek. "We also want to make sure our fans are getting the kind of game-day experience they expect and deserve."
As a result, the LumberKings and Burlington Bees will now play a doubleheader tomorrow, Friday, June 21, with Game 1 scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM. Both games will be seven-inning contests, per Prospect League rules.
Tickets from the canceled June 20 game can be redeemed for any remaining 2025 regular-season home game. Fans may exchange their tickets at the LumberKings box office or contact [ticketing email or phone number] for assistance.
The LumberKings thank all fans and partners for their continued support and understanding. We look forward to seeing everyone back at the ballpark tomorrow for a full day of LumberKings baseball!
